***Before you read this make a quick list of the top 5 loves of your life.*** Something we all have in common is that we all are experiencing change...we are in a constant state of transition. Some of us fast track change while others go kicking and screaming to no avail...change happens. The question is how do we handle transitions as they come along? We recently watched a documentary on this guy that stumbled into his current profession as a photographer of mushrooms. It was fascinating, the variety was astounding...and it reminded me how connected and conversive nature is. The science they used to test this was amazing and really made me stop and think of my role as a spirit living this human experience. Being connected to all is a foundational belief for me but I was challenged...how sensitive to that reality am I? The subterranean environment mushrooms live in is tied together in a magnificent way that creates a healthy environment for the whole. If a particular tree is lacking in nutrients the call goes out and nearby trees supplement the ailing one...if a new pest is attacking one the message goes out giving the nearby trees the information enabling them to develop resistance to the attacker. Can you imagine a world where the greatest higher good for all was the sought after choice? My heart yearns for it! How in this world do we get from the divisive society we have to one of not just tolerance but a genuine non-judgmental, unconditional love for each other? There is a saying you eat an elephant one bit at a time. I am NOT advocating a diet of pachyderm but rather, making a point that monumental changes come from many smaller ones...and for me, it can only start in my heart...for you have your own path. The road to spiritual ascension and the cosmic bliss of the Creator of All comes directly from our transition from being a well trained, domesticated, conditional lover to a Divinely aware unconditional lover. Easy enough, right??? Truthfully the process of healing and growing is wonderfully awful! ;) I've mentioned before that I am very open to a variety of healing modalities...the key for me is to listen to my heart, and my spirits unction as I navigate the possibilities. Last December we were enjoying the beautiful town of Chapala, Jalisco that was beautifully decorated for the holidays. As is our custom we tried a variety of eateries and on one particular night we visited a hotel/restaurant that was suggested. Upon entering there were a few tables set up with vendors selling their wares and one table had this man and woman that beamed! As it turned out they are a form of shaman and both are fluent in Spanish and English...our Spanish is a work in progress! Dan is an amazing man and as we chatted he mentioned they had a rare opening in their schedule which is normally booked months out and it coincided with our trip and the winter solstice. So we took the opportunity and navigated the bus to his town and spent the afternoon in an amazing shamanic psychedelic ceremony with a variety of substances that was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. Truly I was given a clear understanding of our Oneness with Pachamama, Mother Earth...our connectedness to Her, and the entirety of the Cosmos. It was an amazingly powerful moment in our lives to be certain to connect naturally to my true spirit-self. Getting that clarity of our connectedness was a gift! (pic below) It was a shortcut to understanding for sure and given the chance I highly recommend the experience...that being said the process continues. ;) inner- healing, self forgiveness comes in layers of understanding and as I process I continually break free from the expectations tied to love myself and others... I have a friend that has said I am full of rainbows and unicorn farts...but I absolutely know that once unconditional love reaches a tipping point the evil in this world will have no place. Find your healing path and commit to yourself to let your Uniquely Amazing self shine! One moment at a time show up as the best version of yourself! Blessings to you!
